A Workshop for Massage and Bodywork Practitioners

Strategies for Improving Client Outcomes and Avoiding Burnout

The many joys and sorrows and pressures of modern times are showing up in our treatment rooms with increasing frequency and complexity. It is the unique challenge of touch practitioners to hold space for our clients to work through these complexities, while maintaining the necessary care of our own physical and mental pressures. If we are not deliberately cultivating resilience in ourselves, we risk the effectiveness of that healing environment and our career longevity.

PARTICIPANTS IN THIS WORKSHOP ENCOUNTER AND EXPERIENCE STRATEGIES THAT REDUCE STRESS, ENHANCE COMMUNICATION, AND IMPROVE CLIENT SATISFACTION.

PRACTICAL TOOLS THAT HELP: [1]

  • establish ease, helping us deal with the work-related stresses of health care
  • bring awareness to our thoughts and emotions, giving space for appropriate responses, skillful decisions, and improved therapeutic relationships
  • improve communication, resulting in better clinical outcomes, especially during high-stress or painful situations
  • cultivate compassion and empathy, redirecting our mental focus and resetting our expectations of contentment and well-being
